I cannot tell you how excited I am to bring you this absolute feast for your eyes, an editorial all about fashion, flowers and cakes! I feel so excited and proud to have come up with the concept and feel so incredibly grateful to the wedding creatives who came on board for this collaboration. Together we produced this gorgeous bridal editorial shoot that celebrates the modern, sophisticated bride and there is just so much content to share with you. And I’m even more thrilled to say that this gorgeous editorial has now been featured on Love My Dress too so although I’ve shared plenty of photos here, you’ll be able to view even more in their article.
For a long time now I’ve been wanting to show my cakes off and in this editorial we’ve brought them centre stage and paired them with high fashion and flowers. And I mean all the flowers – Lucie created depth and layers of luscious white and ivory flowers for those luxurious vibes. And then we had beautiful bespoke bridal wear from British designer Emma Beaumont with dresses from her main collection that combine classic couture with modern style. And we also had outfits from her Miller White brand – an environmentally conscious range with elegant and contemporary designs. The shoot was all about bringing those fashion forward vibes with thought paid to all the layers from the embellished gowns to the accessories to the hair and make-up, to create images and footage that we believe you won’t have seen before in a bridal editorial. I love how these images look like they could appear on the pages of a Vogue magazine.
As for the cakes themselves, I wanted to show different designs and use skills that I’ve been honing over the last year – so this is a showcase of modern, chic, elegant yet understated wedding cakes. Like the flowers, they’ve been interwoven into the layers of each scene – sometimes even juxtaposing them against their setting, like in that divine bathroom.
This shoot really was made to inspire! It’s made up of scenes and ideas to make you re-think those traditional concepts and excite you to have something different on your wedding day! And I most definitely couldn’t have done it with this amazing team who were all hand-picked for their talent and creativity. Scroll on down to see more of all this beautiful inspiration.
