Hedsor House. What a very special place to exchange your vows and celebrate your wedding. The house itself is only a short drive away from London but in an instant you get whisked away from the city. It’s Italianate-style exterior draws you in as you approach the impressive entrance and its elegance continues around every corner with its characterful rooms. You could easily get lost in its vastly spacious grounds with its beautiful views over the Thames and the local countryside.

I was so excited to be making the cake for Shu & Simon in such a wonderful location. A gorgeous June wedding that was brimming with seasonal flowers. The very talented India, from Vervain Flowers, created the exquisite floral arrangements and bouquets. Everywhere you turned at Hedsor House, there were the prettiest flowers in stunning colours and beautifully arranged. Shu and Simon had chosen the fabulous Amy Rose to take their wedding photographs – all of the images in this blog post are by this very talented and gorgeous lady!

In contrast to the florals in the house, the cake was decorated with lots and lots of petite white blooms. The three tiers of sumptuous naked cake were bedecked with bountiful fruits of summer: luscious berries, grapes cherries and figs, all overflowing onto the cake table.

Shu’s wedding dress was just heavenly – a breath-taking, floor-sweeping couture gown. An absolutely stunning creation by the incredible Phillipa Lepley

I absolutely love being a part of such very special occasions. These are Shu’s lovely words following her wedding: “I just want to say a HUGE THANK YOU for creating the beautiful and delicious cake for us on our wedding day.” It always means so very much to me when the bride and groom get in touch afterwards to let me know how happy they were with their wedding cakes xx
