Jasmine and Ben had their chic wedding in the city in the midst of winter, and even though their wedding was small it was so utterly beautiful with the inviting wedding table and all of the little details. And I absolutely loved creating their petite 2 tier buttercream cake that had the wow factor.

The couple were staying at the Landmark Hotel, an iconic five star hotel in London with stunning interiors. After getting ready there and having their pre-wedding shots, they headed over to Old Marylebone Town Hall for their wedding ceremony. Jasmine had a quick change of outfits into a divine lacy Rime Arodaky jumpsuit before heading over to The Langham for their intimate wedding reception in a private room. Jasmine thought of every little detail down to how the napkins were laid and their wedding table was just so beautiful with all the lovely flowers in hues of ivory and blush pink. There are so many gorgeous flowers available in January, like ranunculus and anemone, and their florist adorned their table with beautiful winter flowers and candles.

Jasmine loves roses and really wanted lots of roses for her wedding including a rose bridal bouquet. They chose to have a 2 tier cake for their wedding and I wanted to create showstopper of a cake for them. So the florist provided me with blush pink roses that matched their table arrangements and I decorated the cake in a pale blush pink buttercream too, finishing it with an architectural style of floral arrangement. I love the style of floristry that’s becoming more prevalent in the UK, inspired by Australian designers and frequently seen on wedding blogs like The Lane. Over the last couple of years, I’ve been choosing to decorate my cakes with flowers in a way that’s bold and stylish and having only roses for this cake was the perfect opportunity to really showcase that style of arrangement.

Sammy captured their wedding day so beautifully and all the little touches really elevated the feeling of this wedding. Afterwards, Jasmine and Ben kindly shared these words with me:
