I just had to share some photos with you of this beautifully luxurious wedding that was held in a tipi in the groom’s family garden. It just goes to show that with the right furniture and styling, an abundance of flowers and plentiful fairy lights that you can create something really special in any space.
When I arrived to set up the cake, I was blown away by the feeling that had been created within the tipi. I loved the use of furs, reindeer hides and rugs to add a sense of luxury to the tent – it most definitely felt romantic and inviting. A truly beautiful space within which to exchange vows as well as celebrate with loved ones. Especially in front of that gorgeous floral moongate.
There were beautiful details on the tablescapes too with pretty stationery. I especially Ioved the little bottles of glitter that were used as place markers – you can never have too much sparkle in my opinion!
And how excited was I, when I was commissioned to make this floral wedding cake. My brief was to create a buttercream wedding cake amidst a flower meadow. With the help of Nordic Twigs, who mossed and flowered up the top of the barrel for me (my first time using a barrel for a cake stand!), I continued the flower stems up the cake to make it appear as if the flowers were growing from each of the tiers.
I love seeing a cake cutting picture as it’s such a highlight of the wedding celebrations, and a moment I only get to see afterwards through photos.
The day after their wedding, I received the sweetest thank you message: “Vaani, our cake was fabulous! Thank you so much! Everyone commented on how beautiful it looked. We were so happy with it. Thank you for everything and working together in collaboration with Caroline . It really meant a lot to me that you guys could work together and bring my dream into reality with the amazing woodland flower cake!”
