It has been so exciting to return to weddings this year after the long lockdown over Winter. And even though we’re not quite back there with full numbers of guests yet, all the weddings that I’ve been involved in since May have been so magical. I have lots to share with you but I’m going to start with Lauren and Tom, who’s chic London wedding has been captured so beautifully by Elena Popa. Lauren wore an elegant bridal gown and veil combination from Suzanne Neville. The team from Portraits Bridal Hair & Makeup made the bridal party look so beautiful and Lauren made an absolutely stunning bride. Not to forget about the groom of course, as Tom looked super dapper too!
Lauren and Tom had their intimate wedding ceremony at the Old Marylebone Town Hall, with 2 witnesses. And then they rode in style in a pink Cadillac, yes that’s right – a pink Cadillac, across town to Spring restaurant at Somerset House to meet their family and friends to celebrate in style. Katie and Terri, the fabulous florists from Worm decorated the restaurant using their organic, natural floral style to fill the space with wildflowers and foliage. To complement it all, Lauren and Tom had wanted a pared-back buttercream cake – something simple and elegant so I made a smooth buttercream tied with a hand-dyed silk ribbon with a natural botanical print.vThe tiers were filled with vanilla sponge cake baked with with fresh raspberries and filled with white chocolate ganache. And the ceremonious cake cutting was carried out with a sword just like Lauren’s grandparents had done on their wedding day! Here are a few of my favourites and you’ll find more photos from this wedding on Pinterest.
