This was one of my favourite weddings of the summer. It took place at the beautiful Warren House in Surrey. Seeing as I’m based in Kingston upon Thames – is only down the road from me! I don’t know if I can put my finger on it exactly to say why it was my favourite summer wedding, but all the elements came together to create a magical feel to the wedding. The couple themselves were a joy to work with and gave me the loveliest feedback afterwards:
“Vaani, thank you so much for our beautiful wedding cake that you made for us. From the day we got in touch you have been so warm, friendly and great to us. You have taken time to provide us with some delicious tasters, regularly kept in touch to finalise all the details, and to just check-in with wedding planning! Our cake on the day was just perfect. We loved the frosting and flower decoration which was just how we had asked and imagined. The cake tasted absolutely delicious, we had so many compliments from family and friends too. Thank you, we will certainly be coming back to you for any future cakes and will highly recommend you to our friends and family in future. J and J x”
Four tiers of luscious cake including the popular Victoria sponge, as well as lemon and blueberry and chocolate. All decorated with a delicate coating of vanilla buttercream.
And then how excited was I when I learned that the wedding had made into the Wedding Ideas magazine’s February Issue! The beautiful fine art style photography by Sarah Hannam definitely captured the details in this classic English countryside theme perfectly. It was such a romantic and elegant wedding brimming with thoughtful touches. The flowers by Rose and Mary were exquisite and provided a beautiful adornment for the cake – I do love fresh flowers on wedding cakes.
